IMPRESSIONS OF HARVEY
In August of 2017 my brother Dan and I drove a rented truck into the heart of a hurricane. Our first road closure forced us to try a different route. This happened again and again. After thirty sleepless hours and more than seven hundred extra miles we finally managed to reach his stranded family outside of Houston. Hurricane Harvey would turn out to be the wettest storm ever recorded in the United States.
this was filmed on a smart phone March 25, 2019 in an area of metro Bogota known as Ciudad Bolivar. The occasion was a circus performance put together by and for the barrio’s youth.
OUR TURN TO WALK
This project was a collaboration with computer animation artist Hue Walker. I provided the soundtrack and words. The piece is designed to be projected on a three dimensional overhead dome screen, which provides a complete immersion– the only way to truly experience it. Has been presented internationally on the dome theater circuit. Premiered at the 2007 Albuquerque DomeFest where it was awarded Best of Show.
